First off, I just started reading your blog and love it! You have given me so many wonderful meal ideas. I personally am cutting out artificial sweeteners and want to use natural sweeteners. I also don't want to feed to much into my sweet tooth..how do you find a happy balance? For example, in your yogurt, do you add a 1tsp or so of honey? Would love to hear your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI think that weaning off of a sweet tooth is a huge step - one way that I've managed it is by doing combinations of honey with a few drops of whole leaf stevia extract. Sometimes adding raspberry extract to whole milk yoghurt with a few drops of stevia has helped to quash the urge for something extra-desserty - it's similar to a Yoplait yoghurt taste, but not as artificially sweet or intense.
ReplyDeleteThanks for answering! What brand of whole leaf stevia extract do you buy?
ReplyDeleteHi, Trixie! I use Stevia Whole Leaf Concentrate.
